Belloo has been selected for the Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) Boost Program!

What’s ACF Boost?
ACF Boost is a tax-deductible, matched funding program supporting independent artists and small arts organisations. This means that for every dollar you donate, ACF will match it dollar for dollar. Donate $5, and ACF adds another $5—effectively doubling your impact!

Why Are We Raising Funds?
We’re raising funds to provide paid mentorship opportunities for Janaki Gerard and Sudhesh Somu, two early-career Tamil Sri Lankan artists who will join the creative team for Back to Bilo, premiering at Queensland Theatre for Brisbane Festival 2025.

Mentoring emerging artists is a core value at Belloo. It’s not just about passing on skills and knowledge—it’s about sharing practices and fostering a vibrant, multi-generational, collaborative creative environment.

Supporting this project helps bring a remarkable story to life on stage and invests in the future of diverse Australian storytelling.

Following its Brisbane premiere, Back to Bilo will tour to Perth and Darwin Festivals, reaching large, diverse audiences. This is an incredible national opportunity for the emerging artists we’ll support.
