FREE Children’s Workshop

  • Flowstate Pavilion Brisbane City, QLD, 4101 Australia (map)

From 6-10 November 2018, Belloo Creative will takeover the Flowstate space at the Southbank Parklands for the SAND project.
#sandbc

You can participate in a free workshop for children aged 4 – 15 years and their parents and carers to explore sand, sand play, landscape and identity. The duration of the workshop is 90 minutes.

There will be four installations that participants can explore: Sand story, Sand drawing, Sand making and Sand digging. The workshop is Saturday 10 November from 9.00-10.30am at the Flowstate venue and no RSVP is required.

The public are also welcome to attend a ‘closing event’ on the same day – Saturday 10 November at 11.00am-12noon to view a display of all the material developed by workshop participants.

The material created by workshop participants can be donated to the SAND project (or collected at the closing event). Throughout the residency week, all materials will be documented, de-identified and stored by QUT researchers.

Donated materials will then be used by award-winning all-female theatre company Belloo Creative as stimulus for the subsequent Flowstate creative development with professional artists from QUT, Idiot Savant Theatre Company (Japan), Daniel Belton (New Zealand) and NORPA.
