Thank you to everyone who attended the Belloo Creative and Metro Arts International Women's Day event on Sunday 13 March 2022.
We had a sold out audience to watch the incredible Penny Everingham perform White Rabbit, Red Rabbit, by Iranian author Nassim Soleimanpour. Afterwards, we had a drink in the Metro Arts' foyer in celebration of our industry and viewed the opening of the first stage of Belloo Creative’s womAn Artist – a series of portraits featuring female-identifying artists who have contributed long-term to the performing arts in Brisbane.
Thank you to Jo Thomas and Danielle Carney at Metro Arts for supporting this work, to Ellamay Fitzgerald for her magnificent, artistic photography and to our exceptional artistic trailblazers: Penny Everingham, Anna Yen and Lucinda Shaw.
The exhibition will be featured at Metro Arts until 31 March 2022.
